New Huawei phone with a 10x Optical Zoom to come in 2019

Published

on

This a very exciting news from smartphone brand Huawei. The company has announced a new quad-camera flagship phone with 10x optical zoom to be launched in 2019. The update is well received by the market, which is eagerly waiting for something exciting.

Updates from the Company

It is believed that the company is also planning to launch an all new high-end phone equipped with quad-camera along with 10x lossless zoom, in H1 2019. Huawei is very excited about the capabilities that are in line to be launched.

Comments from the President

Walter Ji, President of Consumer Business Group for Huawei in Europe, commented about the upcoming innovations by the company. In a recent interview, he said the most of the new offerings by the company are focussed on the high-end camera segment. The company is following suit from the success of the last two successful offerings; P20 and Mate 20.

Market Competition

Huawei has always given a tough competition to the smartphone giant, Samsung. Although the company agrees that Samsung has always been innovative about the technology offering. Although Samsung was the first one to offer quad-camera action in Galaxy A9 in 2018. Huawei has commented that the brand would use the technology for high-end devices.

Extra Zoom for better pictures

Huawei feels that the normal 3x or 5x zoom is not enough for the market. The company has upped the ante with its R&D department and added 10x zoom. Although it is still unclear if the device would offer only optical zoom or use a hybrid digital zoom instead.

Future Market for Huawei

The company has made it very clear that it is not very keen on offering Android Go devices as yet. Huawei is strongly vouching for EMUI because it feels that the market is poised right, currently.

We hope that the P-series would reap the benefits from the extensive R&D, in its next launch. It is expected to be named, P30.
