Liane Moriarty, the author of Big Little Lies, is producing another one of her novels into a miniseries. Nine Perfect Strangers stars Nicole Kidman and Gilmore Girls’ sweetheart Melissa McCarthy in the lead roles! What a great combination! Who’s ready for more Nicole Kidman dramas on TV? Us! Nine Perfect Strangers: Plot and Cast

The story is about nine Australian strangers who attend an expensive retreat called the “Mind and Body Total Transformation Retreat”. It is run by a Russian woman named Masha at the Tranquilium House. All these people come from different walks of life and realize how they can influence each other to think differently about life in just ten days.

Nicole Kidman plays Masha, the woman running the house. Manny Jacinto and Tiffany Boone play Yao and Delilah respectively, Masha’s employees at the retreat. Melissa McCarthy plays Frances, a romance novelist and one of the guests.

Luke Evans plays Lars, a divorce lawyer who loves retreats and spas. Samara Weaving plays Jessica who won a lottery and is now obsessed with becoming beautiful through plastic surgery. Meanwhile, Melvin Gregg plays her husband Ben, who is obsessed with cars.

Bobby Cannavale plays Tony, a former football star in Australia whereas Regina Hall plays Carmel, a divorcee and now a single mother of four. Her husband left her for another woman. Finally, Asher Keddie and Michael Shannon play Heather and Napoleon respectively, a couple who lost a twin son. Their daughter Zoe is plays by Grace Van Patten, and also attends the retreat with them.
