Official: Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro and Mi 8 Lite Launched in China; 6.26-inch Display and 3,250 mAh battery



Xiaomi has today officially launched the Mi 8 Fingerprint edition and the Mi 8 Youth at a launch event which took place today in China. We’ve seen many rumors and speculations about this device and today the device has been finally launched. So there is one major difference between the regular Mi 8 and the fingerprint edition, this comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner and also has a gradient finish on the rear side of the device.

Well so here are the official specifications, the Mi 8 sports a 6.21 inch FHD+ OLED display which comes in 18:7:9 aspect ratio. Talking about the pixels, the rear comes with a dual camera setup with two 12MP sensors, and towards the front, you’ve got a 20MP camera to capture some great selfies. These cameras come with features such as 4x axis optical image stabilization and also AI capabilities. This device runs on the Snapdragon 845 processor and is coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

This device has been priced around Rs.34,000 for the 6GB RAM 128GB internal storage variant, and Rs.38,200 for the 8GB RAM 128GB internal storage variant. Now talking about the Mi 8 Youth, this device features a 6.26 inch LCD screen which comes with a resolution of 2280*1080 pixels.

This device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset is coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There is also another variant available which comes with 4BG of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There is a minor change in the camera department, the rear is equipped with a dual camera where the primary one is a 12MP sensor and the second one is the 5MP sensor. Towards the front, we’ve got a 24MP sensor. The device is backed by a 3,250 mAh battery and the base variant 4GB+64GB is priced around Rs.14,800 and the 6GB+64GB variant is priced at Rs.18,000 when we do the conversion.
