A day after the global launch, OnePlus has today launched the OnePlus 6T in India at an event held at KDJW Stadium in New Delhi. Everything was known except for the Indian pricing, the basic reason of India-specific launch.

With that being said, let’s start off with the pricing first. In India, the base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage has been priced at Rs. 37,999, while the 8/128GB and 8/256GB variants carry a price tag of Rs. 41,999 and Rs. 45,999, respectively and will be exclusively sold via Amazon India in Midnight black and Mirror black color options.

As of the specs, the OnePlus 6T comes with a 6.24-inch Full Optic AMOLED screen having a Full-HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels in a 19.5:9 aspect ratio thanks to the water drop notch, which is further protected by the layer of the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on top.

Under the hood, it is powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC found on the OnePlus 6, coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. It comes in 6/128GB, 8/128GB and 8/256GB RAM and storage configurations. OnePlus has improved gaming performance with the new Smart Boost feature which uses RAM as storage for an improved gaming performance, up to 20% faster loading times in graphics-heavy games like PUBG.

For photography, the OnePlus 6T gets the same dual-camera setup from the 6, comprising a 16MP primary shooter paired with a 20MP secondary shooter, both having an aperture of f/1.7, also aided by OIS along with EIS and slow-mo video recording at 480fps. For selfies, we have a 16MP f/2.0 shooter at the front.

For unlocking the phone, the OnePlus 6T has an optical In-display fingerprint scanner, claimed to unlock phone within 0.34 seconds, in addition to the traditional face unlock.

On the software front, the new flagship runs on latest Android 9 Pie with Oxygen OS and 3,700mAh battery that supports OnePlus’s Dash Charge. As speculated earlier, there is no headphone jack, no IP rating, and no Wireless charging.
