The Chinese giant Oppo has now announced a new sub-brand, dubbed as “Reno” in China. Furthermore, the company has revealed that the first smartphone under Reno will launch on April 10. Besides, Oppo has also unveiled the logo of its new sub-brand.

Going by the new sub-brands logo, Reno seems to be a fun youth-centric brand. We expect smartphones to pack features following the young audience. Furthermore, Reno is expected to follow the path of Realme to keep up with aggressive pricing.
Notably, Reno’s logo was shared on Weibo by Oppo’s Vice President Brian Shen. The logo has a colorful appeal to it with a funky design. As mentioned, it will be mainly targetted towards youngsters, reminiscent of Realme. Shen revealed that Oppo would introduce a new product line in April that will appeal to the global audience. He also shared a photo that hints at a dual rear camera setup at the back.
Notably, the Chinese company BBK Electronics holds the nerves of Oppo, Vivo and OnePlus. Similar to OnePlus, Realme emerged as Oppo’s online only sub-brand for the Indian market. Later, the company disengaged as an independent brand, headed by Sky Li, former senior executive and head of Oppo India.
Now, Oppo has introduced yet another sub-brand which seems to follow the same strategy. Marking words of the VP Brian Shen, we expect the smartphone to make a global approach instead of being limited to China. However, there are no official wordings regarding Indian arrival.
That said, Oppo is currently working on a new flagship smartphone that would come with Snapdragon 855 SoC and 10x optical zoom. The company has recently showcased the same at MWC this year. The device has already made its appearance on AnTuTu and will reportedly be called as Oppo Find Z. Brian has also confirmed that the flagship will incorporate a massive 4,065mAh battery as well.
