Reno by OPPO

Lately, the smartphone giant Oppo announced a new series of smartphones in China, dubbed as Reno. Reno is apparently a separate series instead of a sub-brand, confirmed from few sources and will mainly focus youngsters, similar to Realme. Notably, the first smartphone under the Reno series will be unveiled on April 10. That said, we are still doubtful about the specifications of the OPPO Reno. Fortunately, we now have a couple of images shot on the upcoming Oppo Reno smartphone, giving us a hint about its camera.

The company’s vocal VP Brian Shen has publicized a couple of camera samples which he says were captured by the Reno’s camera. The samples were shot using the 48MP main camera at the rear, and the images were unedited to be precise.

Furthermore, the company has teased the 10x zooming capabilities of the phone via photos showing replicas of famous landmarks: George Washington at Mount Rushmore, the Sphinx at Giza, Christ the Redeemer and others.

He did clarify that the Reno is still in development progress. The samples are spectacular; exposure is outstanding even under low light situations. Have a look below. The pictures originate with clarity even under the low light condition. OPPO VP also coded that the camera is still being elevated. So the device may even bring out better samples once it is launched.

Oppo Reno Specifications (Expected)

The OPPO Reno will reportedly carry a 48-megapixel main camera with along with a 5-megapixel secondary sensor at the rear. The exact sensor details are yet to be known. As for the selfies, the device gets a 16-megapixel shooter up front. As mentioned, the phone is tipped to get 10x hybrid optical zoom at the rear.

Note that these numbers might be changed anytime, as the device is still in the development stage. The handset was previously said to bag the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. However, the recent Bluetooth SIG certification listing suggests that the Oppo Reno may arrive with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC.

Lastly, it will be available in four colors, Purple, Pink, Green, and Black as we’ve seen from leaked renders. The phone is anticipated to be launched on April 10, in China, as confirmed by the company.
