The good news for all the fans of Outer Banks is that Netflix has confirmed the return of the show with season 2 of the much-loved show. In July 2020, Netflix renewed the show for a second season. Just after the show’s premiere on April 15, 2020, it hit the charts of most-watched Netflix series. It received commendable and positive reviews and was rated 7.6 on IMDb. This American teen drama has almost everything that we look forward to when we watch a show- Mystery, Adventure, and action. To add on, it is a thriller as well.

As of now, Netflix has not announced an official release date of the show. The filming is yet to begin and we might have to wait for a while for this amazing season 2, maybe 2021. There is no teaser or trailer for season 2, just the confirmation of the renewal status. However, season 2 is not going to be the last season.

The Plot of Outer Banks Season 2:
The final episode of season 1 has left the viewers with a lot of queries. It will be quite interesting to see those mysteries unwinding in season 2 of Outer Banks. The show focuses on a group of teenagers called “pogues” who team up to find out the mystery behind the sudden disappearance of John B’s father. On the journey, they find out about the hidden treasure related to John b’s dad. Being a teenage drama the show also centres on the relationships and how these teens face troubles. It too early to speculate what happens in season 2 of the show.
