Outer Banks Season 3: Release Date, Trailer and more!

Created by Josh Pate, Jonas Pate, and Shannon Burke, Outer Banks is an action-adventure mystery teen drama streaming television series produced for Netflix. Josh, Jonas, and Shannon are also the executive producers of the show.

The first season of the series premiered on April 15, 2020, followed by the second on July 30, 2021, and received positive reviews from critics. The first season holds an approval rating of 71% on Rotten Tomatoes whereas the second has a rating of 86%. It has been already renewed for a third season, scheduled to premiere soon.

Outer Banks Plot and Cast

The second season of Outer Banks had a shocking finale. Sarah and John B continued their quest for the treasure throughout the show and reunited with the rest of the Pogues in Charlotte. The gang managed to dodge Ward, Rafe and newbie Carla.

The Pogues lost their newly acquired gold cross to Sarah’s family, the Camerons, during a dramatic run-in on a cargo ship. The gang narrowly escapes death and jumps on to a ship only to end up on a deserted island.

The season went on to end with Carla on her way to meet with John B’s father whom many had assumed to be dead, but he isn’t. He vowed to help track down the Shroud of Turin but in return, she must help John B and his friends. This hunt is expected to continue in the third season with fans wondering whether or not John B will ever get that reunion with his clearly-breathing father.

Coming to the cast, we should get to see Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Austin North, Charles Esten, Drew Starkey and Carlacia Grant in the lead roles.

Outer Banks Season 3 Release Date

The second season of Outer Banks premiered on July 2021 and it was renewed for a third season in December 2021. Considering that, we should expect the new season to premiere towards the end of 2022.

The upcoming season is expected to have ten episodes like the first two seasons. However, the makers are yet to provide an official confirmation on the same.
