Outlander season 6: All that you need to know about the next installment

With season 5 already approaching the finish line, how far is the next season? All Outlander fans already know that the show creators promised the 6th season, right back in 2018. Here are some updates from our side.

On 9 May in 2018, Starz, the channel airing the show, made the announcement promising both 5th and the 6th season together, at once.

“Fans can rest assured their beloved Claire and Jamie will be back facing new challenges, adversaries and adventures in seasons five and six as we delve into American history and continue the story of the Frasers as they settle in the New World,” said Chris Albrecht, Starz CEO and president, in an official statement.

This question’s answer has another piece of enthralling news for fans. Sam Heughan, who plays the role of chivalrous romantic warrior Jamie Fraser, talked about filming already in progress in a Twitter open Q&A session. He further said that the whole team is on the ground doing the shooting of the sixth chapter of this historical mind-bending saga. He is very excited about story-line of the next season.

Since the 5th season premiered in this February, we cannot expect the launch dates of season 6 any earlier than 2021.

But the fans are also pondering over yet another question: will season 6 be the last one?
