Overlord Season 4 Updates and more!

The popular Japanese anime Overlord is set to rule once again! The anime was already completed three successful and is due for the fourth season

Overlord is a Japanese anime series based on a Japanese light novel written by Kugane Maruyama and illustrated by So-bin. The anime series is directed by Naoyuki Ito. The screenplay was written by Yukie Sugawara.

Overlord revolves around the story of a  game character known as Momonga. The servers of the once-popular game are about to shut down. All other players have left the game except one dedicated gamer. The lone player requests other players to join in the game but other members don’t join in. The lone player becomes sad as the game he has spent years on is now going to be closed forever. Miraculously the game does not vanish even after the servers shut down.  Suddenly the lone player finds himself trapped in the game. He decides to live in the game itself. The adventures of Momoga hence commence beyond the real world.

Plot for season 4

The plot will continue to see Ainz fighting wars and bringing everyone under his submission and being the “Overlord”.The story is expected to draw inspiration from the Japanese light novel.

Anything specific has not been hinted by the creators of the series yet.

What is the expected release date?

The producers have not released any trailer for the fourth season. The expected release date for Overlord season 4 is expected to be sometime in 2020. But following the global COVID-19 pandemic, the entertainment has been badly disrupted and productions have been delayed. Also, the studio behind Overlord Madhouse has not revealed anything about season 4 of the installment.
