Pacific Rim: The Black Season 2: Release Date, Plot, and more!

Created by Guillermo del Toro and Travis Beacham, Pacific Rim: The Black is a Japanese–American original net anime series from Netflix. It is based on the Pacific Rim franchise.

Developed and co-written by Greg Johnson and Craig Kyle the series was released on March 4, 2021. The series was renewed for a second season, which is currently in production.

Pacific Rim: The Black Season 2 Release Date

The release date of Pacific Rim: The Black Season 2 has not been declared yet. We can expect it to release in the mid of 2022 or the first half of 2023.

The upcoming season is expected to have seven episodes like Season 1. However, it is yet to be confirmed and the rest shall be disclosed when Season 2 premieres on the streaming platform.

Pacific Rim: The Black Plot and Cast

The Travis siblings and Boy stumble into Mei in Clayton City in the season 1 finale. Brina and Ford are nowhere to be found when the siblings find their parents’ jaeger, Hunter Vertigo. They did, however, leave a note for the next person to enter Hunter’s cockpit, urging them to inform their children that they tried.

The Copperhead kaiju is on the trail of the siblings, and when Boy appears, the youngster transforms into a kaiju himself. In the end, Mei and Taylor pilot Atlas to combat the kaiju before Hayley uses Hunter’s last nuclear weapon to destroy it.

Pacific Rim The Black Season 2 may show if Boy was created by the Precursors (or another group). The cult that sees Boy as the “Kaiju Messiah” may get some attention in the future season. We may also discover more about the relationship between Atlas and the Horizon crew.

Now, talking about the cast, it includes Gideon Adlon as Hayley, Calum Worthy as Taylor, Victoria Grace as Mei, Ben Diskin as Boy, and Erica Lindbeck as Loa. Antagonist Shane (Andy McPhee) from the first season is also still lurking somewhere out there in the world, so we’d expect him to be back as well.
