The sixth season will be followed by a big-screen movie that will mark the conclusion of the gangster saga. This will be Peaky Blinders’ last as well.
But before we get to see the Shelbys on the big screen, Cillian Murphy’s Tommy will face real-life fascist Sam Claflin as Oswald Mosley one last time, with the upcoming episodes already cut.
Peaky Blinders Season 6: Cast and Plot!
On 16th April 2021, the tragic news broke that Helen McCrory, who’d played Polly Gray in the first five seasons, had died following a cancer diagnosis. Co-star Cillian Murphy has recently said that McCrory was his “closest colleague on Peaky”, and that he was “in awe” of the way the actress lived her life. Benjamin Zephaniah, who plays a street preacher in the series, posted on Twitter about how “difficult” he had found filming Peaky Blinders without Helen McCrory.
The series five finales certainly left us with many questions. Chief among them is what will Tommy Shelby do next? Is this the end of his campaign to bring Oswald Mosley down from the inside? What will be the fallout? Will Tommy stand openly against the fascist leader? We do know that the Peaky Blinders set has had a revamp after Byrne revealed the Garrison pub has been redesigned with a new black and gold color scheme. This significance will apparently become clear. We do like the new look we have to say!
