Developed by indie developer Ahr Ech, Pepper Grinder is an action-adventure video game which is published by Devolver Digital. It follows Pepper, a seafaring soul with a passion for prospecting, and Grinder, her super-powered drilling device.
Pepper Grinder will be an action-adventure game where the main character is a girl named Pepper and she has a weapon called Grinder in her possession. It is a powerful drilling device and she is shipwrecked as per the premise. Her treasure has been robbed at the same time and she has to use her sidearm to get back the things that were stolen by Narlings. With the Grinder in her hand, Pepper can travel through the intricate environment of the game by going via the terrain and water. She can control the machines to solve the puzzles and eliminate the enemies that are standing between her and the missing treasure. However, her journey is going to be full of complications as she is forced to confront mysterious things that come out of the shadows.

The gameplay of Pepper Grinder will be involved around the main character who has a very unique device. It can drill and help to traverse a lot of obstacles, and puzzles and take down enemies. The device is also called Grinder and it will be used for different purposes throughout the game. Players can also drill via the terrain leading to the unveiling of hidden places and other kinds of shortcuts. Pepper can also propel herself in the air with the use of the tool and create a lot of aerial maneuvers. Pepper needs to change the tool’s drill bits as per her requirement and it will be dependent on the activity she is performing. The game will be a blending of combat, puzzle solving, and platforms with more importance towards exploration and discovery. The game also allows any player to experiment with the abilities of the tool, leading to the uncovering of more secrets and progress further in the game.
Pepper Grinder Release Date
Ahr Ech, which is an independent indie video game developer is currently involved in the development of the game. The game has taken a lot of elements from the arcade platformer Dig Dug of Namco and all these are blended with the character movement of Ecco the Dolphin from Sega. The trailer for the game came out on June 11, 2017, on the official YouTube channel of the developer and they also collaborated with publisher Devolver Digital to bring more elements to the game. The collaboration was officially revealed at the Nintendo Indie World Showcase last year. The game was supposed to arrive by 2023 but it was delayed to 2024 for unknown reasons.
