Created by Rolin Jones and Ron Fitzgerald, Perry Mason is an American period drama television series that premiered on June 21, 2020, on HBO. The series is based on the character of the same name created by Erle Stanley Gardner.
Jones and Fitzgerald are also the executive producers alongside Robert Downey Jr., Susan Downey, Amanda Burrell, Joe Horaceck, and Tim Van Patten. In July 2020, HBO renewed the series for a second season.

Perry Mason Plot and Cast
Perry Mason revolves around Mason and his judicial trials and investigations conjuncture to bits of his personal life. He is in a sorry state of mind due to the great depression and being recently divorced from his wife in Season 1.
The show is set up against the backdrop of a flourishing 1932 LA, with the unbeatable attorney Mason working on the case of a lifetime. The case is about a kidnapping of a one-year-old baby gone wrong. Season 2 will most likely pick up from where it left. The last scene of the first season shows Mason letting the black thread from the baby’s eye fly away with the wind.
Now coming to the cast, includes Matthew Rhys as Perry Mason, Juliet Rylance as Della Street, Chris Chalk as Paul Drake, and Tatiana Maslany as Sister Alice McKeegan. We will also get to see Eric Lange as gene Holcomb and LAPD detective, Justin Kirk as Hamilton Burger, Diarra Kilpatrick as Clara Drake, and Katherine Waterston as Ginny Aimes.
Perry Mason Season 2 Release Date
HBO renewed Perry Mason for the second season in 2020. Production was stuck due to the pandemic, which is believed to have been picked up now.
In May of 2021, Rhys stated that the shooting of the second season would begin at the year-end. However, considering the time taken for producing and post-production of a show, we can assume it will not be out anytime before the year-end of 2022 or 2023.
