Pitch Perfect is one of the most famous, if not the most, musical comedy franchises of the previous decade. The films are loosely based on the book Pitch Perfect: The Quest for Collegiate a Cappella Glory by author Mickey Rapkin. The first film was directed by Jason Moore, the second by Elizabeth Banks and the third by Trish Sie. The films have performed well at the box office as well, grossing $565 million worldwide. Pitch Perfect 2 also set the record for the highest-grossing musical comedy film of all time, with a collection of $287 million. It beat the record of the 2003 film School of Rock. The franchise has a cult following, and a fourth film was teased by actress Rebel Wilson in an Instagram post back in 2018.

Pitch Perfect 4- What we know so far
Following the release of the third film, which was supposedly the last film in the trilogy, the cast has revealed their interests in doing more Pitch Perfect films, if Universal Pictures are up for it. In October 2018, Rebel Wilson shared an Instagram post with Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, and Chrissie Fit, holding up four fingers, potentially teasing the fans about a possible fourth film.
So if Pitch Perfect 4 is indeed happening, we can expect Anna Kendrick as Beca, Rebel Wilson as Fat Amy, Brittany Snow as Chloe, Anna Camp as Aubrey, Hailee Steinfeld as Emily, Hana Mae Lee as Lilly aka Esther, Ester Dean as Cynthia and Chrissie Fit as Flo to be back.
This is what Rebel Wilson had to say about a potential fourth film after the Instagram post:
“There’s been a bit of rumours about whether there’ll be a future for the franchise, and we’ve heard there might be, so we’re very encouraging about it.”
If the fourth film does happen, fans can expect the OG Bellas to get back together to train a new generation of Bellas. Whether that happens or not is up to Universal Pictures, and fans can only hope that Pitch Perfect 4 does happen.
