Pixar’s Luca: Release Date, Cast, Trailer and More!

The bashful sea monster Luca, voiced by teen Hollywood star Jacob Tremblay, best known for Room and Wonder, goes on a magnificent adventure as he heads around the wave in this one-off Pixar feature.

Pixar is well-known for its cheerful animated pictures, which have received both critical and popular acclaim. Following the success of December’s Soul, which won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film in 2021, Luca enters at a time when Pixar fans are yearning for more.

Pixar’s Luca: Release Date

Luca will be accessible on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar on June 18th, wherever Disney+ is available. Luca will be released in theatres everywhere else. The movie’s teaser can be seen here.

Luca is pulled out of the ocean after meeting another sea monster, Alberto, and is surprised when they both turn into human boys. Luca, on the other hand, rapidly falls in love with life on the beach after being taken under Alberto’s wing.

As the boys travel to Portorosso, they meet local lady Giulia and decide to compete in an exciting triathlon with her in the hopes of winning the prize money and a Vespa scooter. However, if their true identities as sea monsters are known, disaster looms.

Cast and Characters

The film’s cast includes Jacob Tremblay as Luca Paguro, Jack Dylan Grazer as Alberto Scorfano, Emma Berman as Guilia Marcovaldo, Saverio Raimondo as town bully Erocole Visconti and others.

In addition to director Casarosa and producer Warren, the crew includes executive producers Pete Docter, Peter Sohn, and Kiri Hart. The story is credited to Casarosa, Jesse Andrews, and Simon Stephenson, with Andrews and Mike Jones writing the screenplay. Dan Romer scored the film.
