The game was officially announced in June 2023 and is scheduled to be released on 18 January 2024. The upcoming game is set to release for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown: Gameplay
The Lost Crown will feature elements of action and adventure together. The lead character’s name is Sargon tasked with entering Mount Qad, a city that is believed to be cursed. He aims to save Princess Ghassan, who has been kidnapped. Sargon has some basic abilities like jumping, sliding, and jumping between the platforms. He can also use his blades to take down the enemies. A special power named Athra’s Glow has also been added to the collection.
There will be different powers and some of them will be available only for a limited period. One of them is Rush of the Simgurh where Sargon can easily dash forward. Another power will be Shadow of the Simgurh where he can put a shadow mark and this works as a checkpoint where players can get together for any purpose. Sargon has also got a few talismans that give him more power.
The game will also be taking inspiration from the Metroidvania video games. The game is full of different shortcuts and secret rooms and the players need to solve all the puzzles. There will be Time crystals throughout the game that can be used for updating the weapons. The tools or skills for avoiding any obstacle might take some time to arrive but the players can capture screenshots and attach them to the map, helping to find them faster and remember the puzzles that remained unsolved.
