Problems associated with Phantasy Star Online 2 for PC Version

Phantasy Star Online 2 is a free-to-play multiplayer action game created and distributed by Sega in the Phantasy Star franchise. Phantasy Star Online 2 offers gameplay and visuals reflective to past Phantasy Star titles although adding new concept twists.

The PlayStation Vita version of the game was released in February 2013. Also the PS 4 version was introduced in April 2016. The Nintendo Switch Cloud update of Phantasy Star Online 2, was released in April 2018. It was revealed at E3 2019 that the game will be released outside Asia on Xbox One and Windows in 2020.

The Windows Store is considered to be unreliable when it comes to game releases. Now it’s raining on the Phantasy Star Online 2 release parade with lots of update and installation mistakes.

Trouble Issues with Phantasy Star Online 2

Phantasy Star Online 2 is officially released for PC in the West. 8 years after the Japanese launch, but it wasn’t the smoothest experience ever. The game came to Xbox One recently and is launched exclusively on the Windows Store for PC. The game’s Reddit account is full of complaints that the game doesn’t work and doesn’t get install properly, or refuse to let players log in.

The official Twitter account of the game is also filled with complaints and assures gamers that their concerns are forwarded to the developer.

One Reddit user, DozyVan, has developed a bugfix megathread to support gamers who are facing problems and discuss some of the possible solutions and workarounds.

However, not everything was helpful to everyone, particularly as more and more issues arose. The user who uninstalled the game but did not bring back the memory space.

Some users also said that reinstalling the game provides a series of hurdles, prompting people to explore and delete remote files.
