A big update is coming to PUBG later in the month, one that carries with it all kinds of improvements and changes. PUBG Corp. gives a full summary of Update 8.2. It has hit the test server on August 12 and will be there on live servers on August 19.
The upcoming update for the battle royale brings with it some new weapons for players to destroy each other, as well as some technical enhancements, additional features, and some additional Erangel locations.
Release Date
The updates are part of update 8.2 which has hit the test server on August 12 and will be going live on August 19 for all PC gamers. It’ll be released on August 27th on Xbox One, PS4, and Stadia.
Updates
For PUBG update 8.2 the most interesting stuff appear to be the latest pistol, the MG3 Light Machine Gun, and the Decoy Grenade.
Decoy Grenade
The name specifically defines what it does. Throw the grenade and trigger the sounds of gunfire, and you can do that to protect yourself or attract attackers.
The explosion will last for 10 seconds and like many, you will cook the explosive.
MG3
The firing rate of the MG3 is very high at 990, but for better accuracy, it can be toggled to a more stable fire rate of 660.
This weapon also comes with the highest level of vehicle damage than any other weapon.
This uses 7.62 mm rounds, the magazine carries 75 and the MG3 can be fitted with scopes up to 6x.

- The object table is also preloaded to the application database, which results in items being loaded quicker.
- Refactored the Key Guide plugin on the screen to reduce possible stuttering/hitching instances
- Enhanced the game by clicking while loading a character on the inventory tab.
Original lobby music of PUBG also makes a comeback, and players can now simply turn on and off their helmets if they wish. The Throwables Wheel has been revamped to help promote some new changes to the arsenal that can be hurled at PUBG.
Finally, graphical changes were made to several weapons, and four new docks were added to the Erangel region. Models/textures changed to the arms include the M416, SKS, and Kar98k.
