Queer for Fear is an upcoming docuseries that highlights the LGBTQ+ communities’ far reaches and the influence they have over the genre of horror for the longest of time. Executive produced by Bryan Fuller, the series shares the manners in which the community shapes and develops the horror genre through their experiences and art. Queer for Fear: Plot and Cast
The docuseries puts forward the tale of LGBTQ+ horror, queer audience’s relationship with horror, and the entirety of the queer horror community. According to the official synopsis of Queer for Fear, the series has its literary origins in the writings of queer authors like Oscar Wilde, Mary Shelley, and Bram Stoker. The docuseries is a presentation from the new-age queer creators that re-explores the stories of the genre through the lens of the queer. They see them as something that is not violent or as narratives of murders. They perceive them as survival tales, tales that thematically resonate with queer audiences all across the globe.
