Rap Sh!t Season 2: Release Date, Cast, and more!

Created by Issa Rae, Rap Sh!t is an upcoming American comedy streaming television series. The show is produced by Hooray Productions and 3 Arts Entertainment and centers on two Miami-based rappers. Issa Rae also served as executive producer of the show along with Syreeta Singleton, Dave Becky, Jonathan Barry, Montreal McKay, Yung Miami and JT of City Girls, Kevin “Coach K” Lee, Pierre “P” Thomas and Sara Rastogi.

The series debuted at the American Black Film Festival on June 18, 2022, and was released on July 21, 2022, on HBO Max. Considering the positive response, the series was renewed for a second season.

Rap Sh!t Plot and Cast

For now, the makers have not confirmed anything about what would happen in Rap Sh!t Season 2. However, it is confirmed to continue from where Season 1 ended.

The show follows Mia Knight and Shawna Clark, two estranged high school friends from Miami who come back together to form a rap group. Wanting to change their financial situation and feeling as if they can do at the very least what they see their male counterpart rappers do, they unite to form a hip-hop duo.

The main cast includes Aida Osman, KaMillion, Jonica Booth, Devon Terrell, and RJ Cyler. We will also get to see Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut, Daniel Augustin, Amandla Java, Jaboukie Young-White, Brittney Jefferson, and Dominque Perry in recurring roles.

Rap Sh!t Season 2 Release Date

The first season of Rap Sh!t premiered on July 21, 2022, and it was renewed for a second season in September 2022. Filming for the new season has been started on February 17, 2023.

Reportedly, the second season is going to release on 10 August, 2023. Rap Sh!t is produced by Hoorae, District 8 Productions, and 3 Arts Entertainment.
