Reacher Season 2: Release Date, Plot and more!

Developed by Nick Santora, Reacher is a crime thriller streaming television series produced for Amazon Prime Video. It is based on the Jack Reacher book series by Lee Child and the first season was based on Child’s 1997 debut novel, Killing Floor.

The first season premiered on February 4, 2022 and received positive reviews from critics and audiences. It currently holds an approval rating of 90% on Rotten Tomatoes and a score of 68 out of 100 on Metacritic. Amazon has already renewed the series for another season.

Reacher Plot and Cast

Reacher Season 1 focused on Jack’s search for the man who killed his brother and the cast was pretty much wrapped up towards the final episode.

After the mystery gets solved, the lead character decides to part ways with Margrave in search of something new, despite Roscoe’s hope to the contrary. She says, ‘If you wander back, give me a call’ and puts a Clark chocolate wrapper on Jack’s hand with her number written on it.

After saying goodbye, Reacher buries a medal in his brother’s resting place and wiping off his tears, he starts to hitchhike onto pastures new.

Child was asked in an interview which book would be adapted next and he replied that he haven’t read them and since there are two or three of them, any one might be chosen. So for now, we cannot predict anything about what might happen in Season 2.

Coming to the cast, we should get to see Alan Ritchson, Malcolm Goodwin, Willa Fitzgerald, Chris Webster, Bruce McGill and Maria Sten in the lead roles. The makers might announce new additions in the next few months.

Reacher Season 2 Release Date

Reacher was renewed for a second season a few days after the premiere of Season 1. So, it is definitely not releasing in 2022 but we should expect it in 2023.

The new season might consist of eight episodes like the first season. However, the developers are yet to issue an official statement on the same.
