Realme 3 Launched in India, comes with Helio P70 and 4,230mAh Battery

Realme today launched its Realme 3 smartphone that is the successor to the last year’s Realme 2. The mid-range smartphone will be competing against the recently launched Redmi Note 7 series and Samsung M-series.

Realme 3: Specifications, Features

The Realme 3 comes with a new injection molded unibody design with gradient colors. It features a 6.2-inch display with a resolution of HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) and  19:9 aspect ratio. There js dew drop notch with a screen-to-body ratio of 88.3 percent and protected by Gorilla Glass 3.

It houses a MediaTek Helio P70 chipset which the company claims to be powerful than the SD 660. The device is available in two configurations: 3GB RAM + 32GB onboard storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB onboard storage with expandable storage via microSD slot.

There is an AI-powered dual camera set up at the rear with a 13MP + 2MP configuration with features likes Chroma Boost to enhance dynamic range and something called Nightscape for the low-light environment. On the front, it offers a 13MP selfie camera with AI Beautification, HDR and Face Unlock.

The handset runs ColorOS 6 based Android 9 Pie which the company claims not to run any Ads. It comes with a 4,230 mAh battery with a microUSB. A USB Type-C port would have been nice. There is a fingerprint sensor at the rear for security.

Realme 3: Price and Availability

As for the pricing, the base variant with 3/32GB configuration costs Rs 8,999 while the 4/64GB variant comes at a price tag of Rs 10,999. The company further notes the price of the 3/32GB option is part of an introductory offer for the first million buyers after which the rates will likely to be increased. It will be offered in Dynamic Black, Radiant Blue, and Black color options. The handset will be exclusively available on Flipkart and Realme website. The first flash sale starts on March 12 at 12 noon.

Realme also teased the Realme 3 Pro, that will arrive in India in April. The company also announced the Realme 3 Iconic Cases that includes a yellow, black and blue diamond-cut pattern that will be available at Rs 599.
