Redmi AirDots Truly Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds launched in China for 99 Yuan

Xiaomi today proved that the Redmi brand is an entirely independent brand with its own range of products beyond smartphones. Today, Redmi surprised its fans by announcing its Redmi Washing Machine and Redmi AirDots TWS Bluetooth Earbuds.

The Redmi series previously focused on budget and mid-range smartphone, but the Chinese manufacturer recently announced it as a separate brand. The brand is mounting high on success after the launch of the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro. It even hinted that a flagship smartphone is in the pipeline.

The new products were announced at the Redmi brand conference in China. As expected, they come with an affordable priced. Redmi’s general manager Lu Weibing during the conference highlighted the brand’s desire to produce high-quality products with an amazing price to performance ratio. The Redmi AirDots costs only 99.9 Yuan (Rs 1000 approx).

Notably, the Redmi AirDots wireless buds are essentially the same as the Xiaomi AirDots but at half the price. That said, the Bluetooth earbuds come with a built-in Realtek 8763 chip and Bluetooth 5.0 support. The earbuds can be used for bilateral calls, and its digital noise reduction feature assists the sound quality. There is a durable battery which gives you 4 hours of continuous music playback when the pair is used.

The pair of headsets is just 4.1 g, so it feels very light. It’s comfortable to wear it with silicon earbuds. There is no problem in pairing and connects as soon as it is removed from its charging box. When kept inside the box, it automatically goes off. The storage box doubles up as a charging compartment and can last up to 12 hours.

The Redmi AirDots come with a control button on a single pair which lets you perform essential functions apart from switching on and off. Click once to pause/play songs and double click to wake up voice assistants like XiaoAI smart assistant and Apple Siri. It can also be used for controlling the mobile phone as well as take pictures. The Redmi AirDots Truly Wireless Bluetooth headsets will be available for purchase in China from April 9.
