Riverdale is a teen drama television series and it based on the characters of Archie Comics. The series has been adapted for The CW by Archie Comics’ chief creative officer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. The show is produced by Warner Bros. Television and CBS Studios, in association with Berlanti Productions and Archie Comics. Riverdale was initially conceived as a feature film adaptation for Warner Bros. Pictures and it was re-imagined as a television series for Fox. The filming of the show takes place in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The first season of Riverdale premiered on 26th January 2017 followed by the second season 11th October 2017. The show was later renewed for a third season which debuted on 10th October 2018 followed by the fourth season on 9th October 2019. Riverdale was renewed for a fifth season by The CW in January 2020 and it premiered on 20th January 2021. The series has been recently renewed for a sixth season on 3rd February 2021. The series has an approval rating of 88% on Rotten Tomatoes and a score of 68 out of 100 on Metacritic.
