Riverdale: Updates on Season 5!

Riverdale is the series fans are so much crazy for. It showcases teen drama and those are never outdated.

From ‘Gossip Girl’, to ‘The Vampire Diaries’, to ‘Stranger Things’, to ’13 Reasons why’. And to many more such amazing binge-worthy dramas. Once you start watching it, it will not let you leave until you finish the whole season. Teen dramas are that damn addictive.

Riverdale is an American television series. It is based on the characters of Archie Comics. It premiers on the CW channel and Netflix. The Archie comics’ Chief Creative Officer, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, adapted the comics for renewing it for the CW show.

Hence, Riverdale marks itself in the category of teen drama as well. The fierce characters make the show more watch-worthy.

Riverdale has always been on the top 5 on the list of the most-watched shows on Netflix. The series has completed its 4 seasons to date. Season 4 had 19 episodes in it. However, the total number of episodes were decided to be 22. The change had happened due to COVID-19 and hence, the production decided to wrap the season with 19 episodes.

Well, the last episode of season 4 hinted to so many things that we will get to see in the next season.

The Updates on Season 5 ‘Riverdale’

Season 5 will show us fans ‘The Prom Night’.

Yes, fans will be welcoming season 5 with the Prom night. However, this plot was first in the fourth season itself. But, as said the production decided to wrap the season as soon as possible due to COVID-19. And hence, they canceled the next three episodes.

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa in an interview with “Entertainment Tonight” told fans that the makers filmed more than half of the prom night episode. That episode was planned as episode 20 of season 4. However, the planning went off by the production.

He also described the “Prom Episode” as the “real classic ‘Riverdale'” episode.

The next season will also be difficult for our couples.

The release date of season 5 ‘Riverdale’

Ever since season 1 of Riverdale premiered on Netflix on Jan 26, 2017, fans went crazy for it. And now the show has ended its fourth season.

The CW in January 2020, revived the show for its fifth season. However, the date hasn’t been announced yet. Rumors state that the show could come out in October 2020. But nothing is clear yet.

The Cast

KJ Apa as Archie Andrews, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, and Lili Reinhart as Elizabeth “Betty” Cooper.

Along with them, Madelaine Petsch as Cheryl Blossom, Casey Cott as Kevin Keller, and Charles Melton as Reggie Mantle.

Also, season 5 will bring back the Disney alum Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones.
