The hero arrives at a strange place, falls in love with the heroine, and fights with her father to save his relationship. A typical romance drama! But the new Roped has much more than this. The cast of the ‘Roped’

The film portrays Josh Swickard and Lorynn York as lead characters who play the roles of Colton Burtenshaw and Tracey Peterson. This young couple makes us wonder if we are in Loveland. Casper Van Dien is a perfect choice for Robert Peterson. He is the father of Tracey. While terrifying us with villainous looks, he also expresses the utmost control over his daughter and family. Christian Moore as Patty Peterson, Cooper Lundeen as Luke Peterson, Michael Roark as Vince Lockwood, Shane Graham as Hank, and John Schneider as Shawn share the screen along with the lovely couple.

We should be familiar with Josh Swickard. He is Harrison Chase from ‘General Hospital’, one of the long-running ABC soap operas. Such is the case even with lead actress Lorynn York. She is famous as Danielle from the series- Dear White People.

The plot of the ‘Roped’

Colton Burtenshaw is a young man. He is a rodeo and loves traveling. He arrives at a peculiar place where the people act so differently. They call themselves liberals but hate freedom and rodeos. The councilman Robert Peterson is very strict about raising his children and executes completes control over the family. His daughter Tracey Peterson falls for the newcomer, Colton. She loves all of him- the way he smiles, the way he takes care of his animals especially horses. How the couple fights against the town and saves the relationship is the rest of the story. Trailer of Roped

The trailer of the film gives us a window to peep in the Roped. The director of the movie, Shaun Paul Piccinino says that he filmed both Roped and Lady Driver in Northern Califonia. He adds, “Both of them were filmed almost entirely in Northern California. So Petaluma and the surrounding areas. I do have plans on trying to bring production to chico and Pedding and those areas. I would love to be able to film up there which is my old stomping grounds where I grew up”.

This 91-minute running film is written by John Ducey. Producers of Roped are Ali Afshar and Christina Moore. The film’s unnecessary scenes are cut by Eric Potter. The movie comes into our hands after interesting cinematography by Reuben Steinberg.

Review of Roped

The IMDB rating for this Netflix film comes out as 5.7 out of 10. Fans have also commented that Roped is well-written and well-directed. This is one of the films that will melt our hearts. People who are stuck in quarantine owing to this current pandemic find Roped easy, funny, and heartwarming. This is a perfect movie to watch if you want to make your heart light.
