Roswell, New Mexico is a science fiction drama television series and it has been named after the city of Roswell, New Mexico. The series has been developed by Carina Adly Mackenzie for The CW. It made its debut as a mid-season entry during the 2018-2019 television season on 15th January 2019. Roswell, New Mexico is the second television adaptation of the Roswell High book series by Melinda Metz. The series has been distributed by CBS Television Distribution and Warner Bros. Television Distribution.

The first season premiered on 15th January 2019 followed by the second season on 16th March 2020. Roswell, New Mexico was renewed for a third season by The CW in January 2020. Later, it was also renewed for a fourth season in February 2021 before the premiere of the third season. The first two seasons had 13 episodes each with a running time of 40 to 43 minutes. The series has an approval rating of 55% on Rotten Tomatoes and has scored 58 out of 100 on Metacritic.
