RuPaul’s Drag Race is an American reality racing television series. First, it was in the Drag Race Franchise, created by World of Wonder for Logo TV, WOW Presents Plus. however, it started in the ninth season of VH1.

The show documents RuPaul in the hunt for “America’s next drag superstar.” RuPaul plays the role of host, coach and chief judge for this season, while the contestants face various challenges each week. RuPaul’s Drag Race hires a jury of judges, including RuPaul, Michelle Visage, and a host of other guest judges who question the competition’s success. The title of the show is a drag queen and drag racing game, and the title sequence and song “Drag Race” all have a drag-racing theme.

What is the format for Rupal’s Drag Race?

Prospective Drag Race competitors send video auditions to the entertainment company World of Wonder. RuPaul, the host and chief judge, sees each tape and picks the season’s competitors. If the selected pool of performers is set, they film a sequence of episodes, each of which normally ends with the elimination of one contestant from the competition.

The outcome of the episode has been rarely a double elimination, no elimination, disqualification of the contestant or removal of the contestant on medical grounds. Each episode features a so-called Maxi Challenge that tests the skills of competitors in a variety of drag performance areas.

The last three or four surviving contestants will perform in a special final episode in which the winner of the season will be crowned. In the early seasons, the final was pre-recorded in the studio with no audience. More recently, the final took the form of a lip-sync tournament in front of a live audience. The season 12 final was shot remotely as a part of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Celebrity judges, meanwhile, remain a closely kept mystery, but season 12 was over with Nicki Minaj, Normani, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Daisy Ridley. So, expect some big surprises!

The thirteenth season of the RuPaul Drag Race will begin off on 1 January 2021. The cast for this season was released on December 9, 2020 via twitter. The show will be televised on VH1 in the United States. The states will see 13 new queens compete for the title “America’s Next Drag Superstar”
