Season 6 of S.W.A.T. is around the corner and the fans are all set to witness the team’s newest and even more exciting adventures. Developed by Aaron Rahsaan Thomas and Shawn Ryan, S.W.A.T. is a procedural action drama series of American origin based on Robert Hamner and Rick Husky’s 1975 TV series of the same title. S.W.A.T. launched its first season on November 2, 2017, and the recent-most previous season, i.e, Season 5 of it was released on October 1, 2021. The series is executive produced by Ryan, Thomas, Neal H. Moritz, Marney Hochman, Danielle Woodrow, Pavun Shetty, Justin Lin, and Paul Bernard. S.W.A.T. Season 6: Plot and Cast
Not much revelations have been made regarding the upcoming season of S.W.A.T. The general premise of the series involves the affairs in and around the Los Angeles Police Department, especially that of Sergeant Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson. Born and brought up in Los Angeles, Daniel is a former Marine who has been deployed to head the LAPD’s “last stop” Special Weapons and Tactics unit. As he is black and a native of L. A., he takes all on himself to serve and safeguard his people and his “brothers in blue”. The series gained popularity because of the portrayal of real-life, on-the-edge interactions between the African-American community and the police.
The primary cast of S.W.A.T. is retained in the sixth season of the series. It includes Shemar Moore as Daniel Harrelson, Alex Russell as Jim Street, Kenny Johnson as Dominic Luca, David Lim as Victor Tan, Patrick St. Esprit as Robert Hicks, and Jay Harrington as David Kay. The cast of season 6 is also expected to include Bre Blair as Annie Kay, Obba Babatundé as Daniel Harrelson, Sr., Michael Beach as Leroy, Deshae Frost as Darryl, Rochelle Aytes as Nichelle, and Karissa Lee Staples as Bonnie.
