Samsung Galaxy A9, World’s First Quad-Camera Smartphone



Samsung is the first mobile manufacturer to come with a Quad-Camera setup towards the rear side of the device. So talking specifically about these cameras, they are placed vertically and there is an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 24MP main sensor, a 5MP depth sensor and also a 10MP telephoto sensor towards the rear side of the device.

Thanks to Samsung for starting the pixel war with this device, now no wonder if there would be other manufacturers who would come up with the 5 rear cameras concept. Sticking to the topic, the new 10MP telephoto camera with the f/2.4 lens. This lens offers 2x optical zoom when compared to the main camera on this device. We can find these 12MP telephoto lenses only on Samsung’s premium devices.

Talking about the main camera on this device, it is a 24MP sensor with an aperture of f/1.7. Also, the 120 Degree ultra-wide camera comes with an 8MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture and also the last fourth camera is a 5MP depth sensor which is used for bokeh effects. Apart from all these, the device comes with a fingerprint scanner which is mounted on to the rear side of the device. The all new Samsung Galaxy A9 packs in a 3800 mAh battery with quick charge 2.0 support.

This device sports a 6.3 inch Full HD+ AMOLED display which comes in 19:9 aspect ratio, and additionally the device does support facial recognition too. The entire device is powered by the Snapdragon 660 Processor and is coupled with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Galaxy A9 does come with other features such as Bixby the assistant, Samsung Pay, and also the Samsung Health. The rear side of the device comes with 3D curved glass and the device is available in three different colors, Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue, and the Bubblegum Pink. There are no details regarding the pricing of this device, hence we need to wait for the official launch.
