Samsung Galaxy A9s and Galaxy A6s Launched in China



Samsung recently launched the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) which was world’s first smartphone with quad rear cameras in Malaysia. Now, the Korean giant has launched the same device in China as Galaxy A9s along with another mid-ranger named as Galaxy A6s. Let us talk about both the devices in detail.

Samsung Galaxy A9s

The Samsung Galaxy A9s comes with a 6.38-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display with 1080 x 2220 pixels resolution.  Under the hood, it is powered by the Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with Adreno 512 GPU, 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 512GB via micro SD card.

In the optics department, the phone gets a total of four AI-powered rear cameras, featuring a a 24-megapixel primary rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, 10-megapixel telephoto lens along with an f/2.4 aperture, offering 2x optical zoom, followed by an 8-megapixel 120 degree Ultra Wide camera with f/2.4 aperture and a 5-megapixel f/2.2 depth sensor for bokehilicious pictures and portraits. For selfies, we have a 24-megapixel sensor along with an f/2.0 aperture at the front.

On the software front, the A9s runs on Android 8 Oreo with Samsung Experience UI on top and draws its juice from a sufficiently large 3800mAh battery that supports Samsung’s adaptive fast charging. It also has Face Unlock in addition to the fingerprint scanner at the rear for unlocking the device.

Connectivity features like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4/5GHz), VHT80, Bluetooth v5, GPS + GLONASS, NFC (Optional) are given onboard. The phone measures 162.5 x 77 x 7.8 mm and weighs 183 grams.

Samsung Galaxy A6s

The Samsung Galaxy A6s sports a 6 -inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Like the A9s, this phone too is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragfon 660 SoC clubbed with 6GB of RAM along with 64 GB and 128 GB internal storage options.

For photography, the phone packs dual cameras at the back including a 12-megapixel primary sensor and 2-megapixel secondary depth sensor. While the front bears a single 12-megapixel shooter for Selfies.

In the software department, it runs on Samsung Experience UI based on Android 8.1 Oreo and is backed by a 3,200mAh battery. The phone has 156.3 x 76.5 x 8.5mm dimensions and 184 grams weight.

Coming to the pricing, the Galaxy A9s carries a price tag of CNY 3,499 (about Rs. 36,900) for the sole 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage model while on the other hand, the Galaxy A6s costs CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs. 19,000) for the 6/64GB model and CNY 2,199 (around Rs. 23,200) for the 6/128GB variant.
