Samsung Galaxy A9s specs revealed, comes with Quad Cameras

Recently, we saw a report hinting at a Samsung A-series phone with a total of five cameras including four at the back, just after the launch of the Galaxy A7 (2018) with triple rear cameras. Earlier, the device was speculated to come as Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Pro but the new report says that the device will be named as Samsung Galaxy A9s.

As per the report, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A9s will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE chipset, Samsung rarely uses Qualcomm chipsets instead of its own Exynos, this also hints that the device will first arrive in the US and or China followed by other countries. Furthermore, it will pack 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage, and is also expected to have a microSD slot for up to expansion up to 512GB.

Interestingly, we also have the details about the quad camera set up at the back, following the same, the primary camera will have 24 MP with an aperture of f/1.7, the 5 MP depth sensor will have f/2.2 aperture, the 8 MP wide-angle lens will have a f/2.4 aperture followed by another 10 MP sensor that will allow 2x optical zoom and bears a f/2.4 lens.

On the software front, the device is expected to run on Samsung UX with Android 8.1 Oreo on top and will be juiced up by a large 3,720 mAh that will support Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 via the USB type C port. As of now, this is the only information we have about the device. If it turns out to be real then the Galaxy A9s will take the crown of the first smartphone with a quad camera set up at the back.

The Samsung Galaxy A9s is expected to arrive on October 11th where the Korean giant has scheduled the “4X Fun” event. Let us see what Samsung is actually cooking on the launch day, till then, stay tuned.
