In addition to the Galaxy S10 and the Galaxy S10 Plus, Samsung also launched the affordable Galaxy S10E. Though it has a smaller display and lacks the more advanced features of its siblings, the phone might be the one you are looking for.
The Galaxy S10E misses out an extra camera lens, curved display and the in-display fingerprint sensor. The handset looks like a “small” solid phone rather than a fancy smartphone with exuberant characteristics. The fingerprint sensor is embedded on the right side and comes with an IP68 rated water-protection. The bottom line is, the S10E doesn’t feel cheap and instead feels premium with its glass and metal package.
On the specifications front, the Galaxy S10E features a 5.8 inch Dynamic AMOLED display. It has an FHD+ resolution, an aspect ratio of 19:9 and is certified for HDR10+. Since the screen is flat, it makes the bezels look a tad bigger. The display comes with a punch hole cut-out on the top right that contains the front camera.

Notably, it is powered by the top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC and Samsung Exynos chipset in some regions. It features 6GB/8GB RAM and 128/512GB internal storage which can be further expanded via microSD card.
On the optics department, it has a dual camera setup on the rear with a 12MP wide-angle lens and 16MP ultra-wide lens with 10x digital zoom. It has the same “Shot Suggestion” feature present on the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus. The company claims it uses a “Neural Processing Unit” to automatically adjusts certain settings in real-time. It can shoot in 4K and HDR+ and has a new ”Super Steady Video” to stabilise shots.
The handsets run Samsung’s One UI on top of Android 9 Pie while adding new software automation routines in Bixby. It will be available in four colour options: Prism Black, Prism Blue, Prism Green, Prism White and Canary Yellow. The Galaxy S10E comes at a starting price of $750 / £669 / AU$1,199 / AED 2,699 for the 6GB/128GB variant. It will be available for pre-order from February 21 at 12 AM-midnight and will go on sale from March 8.
