Script-writing process for Marvel’s upcoming show She-Hulk has been over. Disney is the show’s partner and the show will release on their newly launched online streaming platform Disney+. Disney+ is also in working on several projects for its platform. MCU follow-up shows like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is expected to arrive on the platform in August. It will be followed by shows WandaVision and Loki. Other upcoming projects include She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, and Moon Knight. These three shows will feature characters that yet appear in the MCU.
It is difficult to make an exact guess about the release dates of these shows. The ongoing pandemic crisis has disrupted production timelines for an indefinite period as of now. She-Hulk was anticipating beginning its production this summer but those plans have been temporarily suspended. No cast has been confirmed yet except for the rumors among fans about Alison Brie might take up the lead titular role.
Recently, Dana Schwartz, one of the writers of the series, indicated that the scripts for She-Hulk have been completed and she is ready to take up new projects. “The She-Hulk room ended so if you happen to be a showrunner looking for a writer who makes jokes and writes books and knows a lot of historical fun facts, hit me up!!!!” her tweet read.
As the COVID-19 crisis gets milder it might easier to tell how soon the show will start-off filming. Possibly we will have a look at the confirmed cast in the meantime. There are chances Marvel will not announce who will play the titular role until on-ground production resumes.
Mark Ruffalo/Bruce Banner in She-Hulk?
Fans are also inquisitive about whether Mark Ruffalo, who plays Hulk/Bruce Banner in MCU films will show up in the series. In an interview with Variety, Ruffalo suggested that he might. “There’s nothing completely at a place where it’s a done deal. There’s some talk of having Banner/Hulk show up in [the Disney Plus series] ‘She-Hulk.’ If we come up with something good, that would be really interesting. Right now that’s about it. That’s all there is on the table”, he said.
