Developed by Aaron Saidman, Selena + Chef is a television cooking show, made for HBO Max. Saidman and Gomez is also the executive producer alongside Eli Holzman, Leah Harriton and Melissa Stokes.

The first season of the series premiered on August 13, 2020 followed by the second season on November 19, 2020. The third season was released on October 28, 2021. The show received positive reviews from critics and audiences and currently holds an approval rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. Looking at the positive response towards the previous seasons, the makers have already renewed the series for a fourth season.

Selena + Chef features Selena Gomez in an unscripted cooking series filmed at her home. Every episode features her tackling a new cuisine and guest stars a different professional chef, where they cover tips and tricks and how to deal with disasters in the kitchen. For each episode, the show donates $10,000 to the charity of the Chef’s choice, often food related.

The fourth season is expected to follow the same format and the makers have not announced any other changes until now. However, further details should be revealed in the next few months.

Selena Gomez will return as the host of the fourth season. It will feature guest appearances like the first three seasons. The previous seasons saw guest appearances from Ludo Lefebvre, Antonia Lofaso, Candice Kumai, Roy Choi, Nancy Silverton, Tanya Holland, Jon Shook, Vinny Dotolo and others.
