Serious Sam 4 is a forthcoming first-person shooting game developed by Croteam and released by Devolver Digital, the Croatian developer. The game was revealed in April 2018 and was scheduled to be released for Windows and Stadia in August 2020, and for PS4 and Xbox One in 2021.
New Release Date
The developer revealed a new release date on Twitter with a new trailer. It features a headless hero racing past the initial August release window and smashing through the current release date of September 24th.
The team hasn’t clarified why the game is being delayed but is poking fun at the delay.
It is generally fair to say that working from home and adhering to certain social distance protocols relevant to COVID-19 has taken a little longer to get things done.
Serious Sam 4 is the long-awaited successor to Serious Sam 3: BFE, which was released on virtual reality platforms in 2017. The forthcoming game will feature weapons, enemies, music, and the new legion system that have never been seen before.
The Legion System has been created especially for Serious Sam 4. It will require “hundreds of thousands” of enemies to be viewed on the screen at one time, as per graphics engineer Dean Sekulić.

The latest release date of Serious Sam 4 may indeed put it in a more demanding window than before. Although there are not many big updates of the franchise in August. Though September has titles like Marvel’s Avengers and Mafia: Definitive Edition, which hits a day after Serious Sam 4.
Nonetheless, the distinctive look and fan fanbase of Serious Sam 4 will most likely seems to be a hit.
