Sex Education Season 3: Official Announcement and More Details

Sex Education is a British comedy-drama TV series created by Laurie Nunn. Sex Education is about a bunch of socially awkward high school students with not much experience in the lovemaking department. Otis is the kind of guy who likes to keep business away from the famous kids of the school. It is until the time when he tries to monetize on his grip on the topic in his personal sex-ed expertise developed by living with mom Jean, who is a sex therapist. Being surrounded by manuals, videos, and tediously open conversations about sex, Otis has become a reluctant expert on the subject. To up the game in college, he teams with whip-smart bad girl Maeve to set up an underground sex therapy clinic to deal with their classmates’ problems. But through his analysis of teenage sexuality, Otis realizes that he may need some therapy of his own.

Sex Education proved to be an instant hit for Netflix. They set the season 1 right in the space, addressing the real deal of the teenager of today and their challenges. The Season 2 proved to be a solid cut above season 1 with the cuteness quotient toned down The idea behind was to push it closer to the reality with added complications and an amazing soundtrack.

Whereabouts of Sex Education Season 3

The filming of season 3 should have been started by now but reports state otherwise. The filming is being delayed as claimed by many sources. This has not come as a surprise to fans keeping in mind the global coronavirus pandemic situation. The shooting of the show typically takes place in the UK. Notably, UK extended its lockdown by three weeks for the public.

The show is expected to continue with the existing cast keeping in mind their level of involvement at this stage. We have Otis (Asa Butterfield), Jean (Gillian Anderson), Eric (Ncuti Gatwa), Maeve (Emma Mackey), Aimee (Aimee Lou Wood), Adam (Connor Swindells), Jackson (Kedar Williams-Stirling), Ola (Patricia Allison), Lily (Tanya Reynolds), and Headmaster Groff (Alistair Petrie).

The tentative release is said to be set around mid-2021 but again comes attached a lot of uncertainties.
