Shark Tank Season 12 – Release Date, Judges, Trailer, and more updates!

Shark Tank is a business reality television series on ABC. The series is the American format of the international franchise called Dragon’s Den, which originated in Japan as Tigers of Money in 2001. Shark Tank is created by Mark Burnett, who also serves as an executive producer on the show, alongside Clay Newbill and Phil Gurin. Shark Tank first premiered on television in 2009; and since then, 11 seasons of the show have aired on ABC. The show has been a ratings success ever since it first aired; winning the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Structured Reality Program for four consecutive years from 2014-17.

Shark Tank was renewed by ABC for a 12th season on May 21, 2020.

The concept of the show is this-

“The show features a panel of investors called “sharks”, who decide whether to invest as entrepreneurs make business presentations on their company or product. The sharks often find weaknesses and faults in an entrepreneur’s valuation of their company, product, or business model. The sharks are paid as cast stars of the show, but the money they invest is their own. The entrepreneur can make a handshake deal (gentleman’s agreement) on the show if a panel member is interested. However, if all of the panel members opt out, the entrepreneur leaves empty-handed.”

Shark Tank Season 12 – Judges and guest entrepreneurs

The sharks from season 11 return for season 12 of Shark Tank. This includes Kevin O’Leary, Barbara Corcoran, Daymond John, Robert Herjavec, Mark Cuban and Lori Greiner. Every season of Shark Tank also invites some guest entrepreneurs who also take part in the show as co-judges. The list of guest entrepreneurs who will appear on season 12 was revealed on September 21, 2020.

This season’s guest sharks will be Kendra Scott, Blake Mycoskie, Daniel Lubetzky, and Alex Rodriguez.

Shark Tank Season 12 – Premiere Date and Trailer

Shark Tank Season 12 is set to premiere on ABC on October 16, 2020. A brand new teaser trailer of season 12 has also been released recently.
