Sins of Our Mother is an upcoming crime docuseries that put forward the renowned incident concerning Lori Vallow and her fifth husband, Charles Daybell. Featuring Colby, Lori’s surviving son, the infamous director Skye Borgman is bringing together a series of individual interviews with the people closest to Lori and how the incident had its respective impact on each one of them. Based on the story behind the tragedic disappearances and deaths of Tyler and J.J., Lori’s youngest children, the docuseries brings forth an overwhelming tale of religious beliefs, cults, and a chain of other associated actions that ultimately resulted in the arrest of Lori and Chad whose trial is due in January 2023. Lori Vallow, the devoted and caring mother of three, an ideal and rather loving wife, and well, a woman of God, is charged with committing not one, not two but four first-degree murders. Her partner in crime is her fifth husband, Chad Guy Daybell. Two of the prime victims who fell prey to the beliefs of the couple are Lori’s two youngest children, Tylee and J. J., the other two being Lori’s fourth husband and Chad’s then-wife. Colby, Lori’s eldest and surviving son gathers it all and sheds light on the exclusive backstory of the family, along with providing insights about the current situation, as Lori and Chad await their trial. Joining Colby are some other close relatives of the accused, and the investigative reporter who is in charge of covering Lori’s story.
