Created, Written and Directed by Tyler Perry, Sistas is an American comedy-drama television series. The series has been rated 5.6/10 on IMDb. Perry is also the executive producer alongside Michelle Sneed and Mark E. Swinton.

The show first premiered on October 23, 2019 followed by the second season on October 14, 2020. On January 19, 2021, BET renewed the series for a third season, which premiered on June 9, 2021. The fourth season premiered on January 5, 2022 and the makers have renewed the series for a fifth season in March 2022, which is scheduled to premiere soon.

Sistas Plot and Cast

The makers of Sistas have not revealed much about the plot of Season 5, although it will continue from where Season 4 would end. Nothing can be predicted for now as Season 4 is still on air. The basic premise of the show follows five Black career women as they navigate life and love while leaning on one another.

Talking about the cast, the leads of the first four seasons are expected to reprise their roles. This includes KJ Smith, Ebony Obsidian, Mignon Von, Novi Brown, Chido Nwokocha, DeVale Ellis, Brian Jordan Jr., Kevin Walton and Anthony Dalton.

Sistas Season 5 Release Date

The fourth season of Sistas premiered on January 2022 and it was renewed for a fifth season in March 2022. Considering that, the fifth season should premiere sometime in 2023.

The number of episodes are not confirmed as it has been different in the first four seasons. The series is produced by Tyler Perry Studios and a spin-off titled Zatima has been announced by the makers in December 2021.
