Based on Slow Horses by Mick Herron, Slow Horses is a spy thriller series, made for Apple TV+. Iain Canning, Hakan Kousetta, Jamie Laurenson, Gail Mutrux, Emile Sherman, Will Smith, Douglas Urbanski, and Graham Yost are the executive producers of the show.

The first season of the series premiered on April 1, 2022, and received positive reviews from critics. It currently holds an approval rating of 94% on Rotten Tomatoes and considering the positive response, the makers renewed the series for a second season. Before the release of Season 2, the series has been already renewed for third and fourth seasons.

Slow Horses Season 2 recently premiered and the series was renewed for a third and fourth season. We can predict something only after the end of Season 3, although the fourth season will continue from where Season 2 would end.

The basic premise follows British MI5 officer River Cartwright, who is exiled to Slough House, an administrative purgatory for service rejects after a botched and publicly embarrassing training mission. Known as “Slow Horses”, Cartwright and his colleagues must endure dull, paper-pushing tasks and their miserable boss, Jackson Lamb, who expects them to quit out of boredom and frustration. Life in Slough House is defined by drudgery until the Slow Horses become entangled in a dangerous gambit by Regent’s Park.

We cannot say anything about the cast members who would return in Season 4 since everything will be dependent on what would happen in Season 3. We can still expect the leads of Season 1 to reprise their roles.

Slow Horses Season 4 Release Date

Slow Horses Season 2 would premiere in 2022, and considering that the third season would premiere in 2023. If things happen as predicted, Season 4 will release sometime in 2024.

The fourth season should consist of six episodes like Season 1 and the rest of the details shall be disclosed soon. The series is produced by See-Saw Films, Flying Studio Pictures, and Sony Pictures Television Studios.
