Smiling Friends Season 2: Release Date, Plot and more!
Created by Zach Hadel and Michael Cusack, Smiling Friends is an adult animated television series for Cartoon Network’s night-time programming block Adult Swim. Mike Cowap, Emma Fitzsimons, Ollie Green and Walter Newman are the executive producers of the show.
The first season of the series premiered on January 10, 2022 and received positive reviews from critics and audiences. It has been rated 8.5/10 on IMDb and considering the positive response, the makers have already renewed the series for a second season.

Smiling Friends Plot and Cast
In Season 1, Charlie and Pim work to help people and animals suffering from various issues. They encounter characters like Mr. Frog, Enchantress and Ketchup Packet on their adventures.
Smormu will become the fifth Smiling Friend and would join Charlie, Pim and others. Following the season, a competing organization appears near Smiling Friends Inc., increasing friction. After Charlie dies, he travels to hell to cheer up Satan, despondent after being crashed beneath a tree by a truck.
Season 2 might focus on Charlie’s future and Smiling Friends Inc. and the Boss may face off against each other in the future. The new season would satirically address additional current topics. The first season explored topics like cancel culture, mental health, rigid ideas and others.
The lead cast members of the first season are expected to reprise their roles in Season 2. This includes Zach Hadel, Michael Cusack and Marc M. Season 1 also featured guest appearances by Mike Stokalsa, Finn Wolfhard, Tom Fulp, Jane Balder and others.
Smiling Friends Season 2 Release Date
The first season of Smiling Friends was released in January 2022 and it was renewed for a second season the following month. Considering that, the second season should premiere by the first half of 2023.
The upcoming season is expected to have eight episodes like the first season. Further details related to the second season would be revealed in the next few months.
