Snowfall is a crime-drama television series on FX, created by John Singleton, Eric Amadio, and Dave Andron. The series was first set up at Showtime in 2014, but was later picked up by FX for a ten-episode first season in September 2016. The first season premiered on July 5, 2017. The series was renewed for a second season in August 2017. The second season premiered on July 19, 2018. On September 19, 2018, Snowfall was renewed for a third season, which premiered on July 10, 2019.
Snowfall is set in Los Angeles in the year 1983. The series revolves around the first crack epidemic and its impact on the culture of the city. It follows the stories of several characters whose lives are fated to intersect: 20-year-old drug dealer Franklin Saint, Mexican luchador Gustavo “El Oso” Zapata, CIA operative Teddy McDonald, and a Mexican crime boss’s daughter, Lucia Villanueva.

Cast of Snowfall Season 4
The main cast of Snowfall are expected to return for season 4. This includes Damson Idris as Franklin Saint, a 20-year-old drug dealer; Carter Hudson as Teddy McDonald, an undercover CIA operative; Sergio Peris-Mencheta as Gustavo “El Oso” Zapata, a Mexican luchador; Isaiah John as Leon Simmons, Franklin’s best friend; Amin Joseph as Jerome Saint, Franklin’s uncle; Michael Hyatt as Cissy Saint, Franklin’s mother; Jonathan Tucker as Matt McDonald, Teddy’s brother; and DeRay Davis Peaches, Jerome and Franklin’s bodyguard. Kwame Patterson will join the cast of Snowfall in season 4, portraying a recurring character called Lurp.
Release Date of Snowfall Season 4
Season 4 of Snowfall was originally scheduled to premiere in the fall of 2020. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, production on the fourth season was put on hold in March 2020. The premiere of the fourth season of Snowfall is now set to be in 2021.
