Netflix’s original Spanish thriller, Wasp Network is a thriller drama directed by Olivier Assayas, starring Penelope Cruz, Edgar Ramirez, Wagner Moura, and Gael Garcia Bernal. The movie is based on the book by Fernando Morais titled, ‘The Last Soldiers on the Cold War’, which tells the story of Cuban spies in the American war in the 1990s.

Rene Gonzalez, a Cuban airplane pilot flies to Miami to infiltrate an organization, leaving his family behind in Havana, where his wife faces the false accusations of Rene being a traitor, but he is the hero for the Cuban Government. The rating of Wasp Network is not up to the mark, as Rotten Tomatoes gave 41% and IMDB rated it 5.5 out of 10, but hey there don’t let the rating divert your interest from this true, fantastic thriller film. Also, the actors were amazing in their respective roles from Penelope to Edgar.
