Spin the Wheel is a strategy and trivia game show on Fox. The series is created by Justin Timberlake and Andrew Glassman. They also serve as executive producers on Spin the Wheel, alongside Rick Yorn and Johnny Wright. Actor and comedian Dax Shepard is the host on Spin the Wheel. The show features a 12m high vertical roulette wheel with 48 wedges. These wedges are potentially worth either money, or “lose everything”.

Spin the Wheel premiered on Fox on June 20, 2019. The first season had 10 episodes, ending on September 5, 2019. The concept of the show is this-
“A suspenseful, high-energy mix of pop culture trivia, strategy and simple whirling luck, SPIN THE WHEEL pits contestants against a colossal, spinning 40-foot wheel that holds incredible sums of cash prizes in its rotation. Throughout the game, players will answer trivia questions – each correct answer adds more extreme amounts of cash in the wheel’s wedges in a strategic location of their choice, while each incorrect answer adds more dangerous wedges that could instantly bring their total back to zero. With massive prize money on the line, contestants must make sweat-inducing, gut-wrenching decisions: whether to walk away or risk it all to SPIN THE WHEEL one last time.”

Spin the Wheel Season 2- Is it happening or not?
The first season of Spin the Wheel had an average demo rating of 0.54 in the 18-49 category, and an average of 2.41 million viewers across its ten-episode first season. The final episode of season 1 of Spin the Wheel only had 2.08 million viewers across USA. Although the ratings and viewership numbers of the first season of Spin the Wheel are not that great, it still managed to perform well, as compared to Fox’s other summer shows.

As of right now, Fox has neither renewed nor cancelled Spin the Wheel. Considering that it is a part of Fox’s summer programming schedule, if season 2 of Spin the Wheel does happen, we can expect it to premiere some time in mid-2021.
