Star Trek: Discovery Cast Confirms That The Post Production For Season 3 Continues Remotely

Star Trek: Discovery is an American web television series created for CBS All Access. The first season of the show was launched on September 19, 2017, and the second season in January 2019. According to the pattern of release of the first 2 seasons, the third season is speculated to release in May 2020. But many productions have been shutdown worldwide due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so fans were disheartened that the wait for season 3 of Star Trek: Discovery might be longer than May 2020!

Twitter Post Of Star Trek: Discovery Cast Gives Hopes To Fans

Wilson Cruz who plays Hugh Culber on the show recently put up a post on Twitter which was quite reassuring to many fans. The tweet was in reply to a fan’s query and it read: “Trust me, none will hesitate to give you a release date as soon as they can. Everyone is working hard on post-production as we speak. Patience, grasshopper.” Scott Gamzon, who is an editor in the show also tweeted: “Post-production, sound, VFX, and Editorial are all hard at work from our homes. It’s going to take longer and there have been challenges but the results will be worth the wait!”

This simply means that there will be a release date for season 3 of Star Trek: Discovery soon. Sources also said that filming for the third season was ended in February 2020, just before all the productions were shutdown. Only post-production work is left and that should get done soon enough!

What Star Trek: Discovery Is All About?

The show is set ten years before the events of Star Trek: The Original Series, it shows the Klingon houses become united in a war with the United Federation Of Planets that involves the crew of the USS Discovery. The second season of Star Trek: Discovery is all about the events that take place once the war has ended. Discovery investigates seven mysterious signals and a strange figure known as the “Red Angel”. This then ends in the 32nd century, 900 years into the future, on a cliffhanger.
