Star Trek: Discovery is a television series created by Bryan Fuller and Alex Kurtzman for CBS All Access. The series was launched in the year 2017 and is the seventh Star Trek series and the first since Star Trek: Enterprise that ended in 2005. The series starts a decade before Star Trek: The Original Series and follows the crew of the USS Discovery. The series has been produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Secret Hideout, Roddenberry Entertainment and Living Dead Guy Productions.

The series premiered on 24th September 2017 on CBS and CBS All Access. The rest of the season was broadcast weekly on CBS All Access and ended in February 2018. The second season was released on January 2019 followed by the third season on October 2020 and ended in January 2021. The fourth season has been announced by the makers. The series has received positive reviews from critics as well as audience and has received various accolades.

Release Date of Star Trek: Discovery Season 4

Star Trek; Discovery was renewed for a fourth season a few days after the release of Season 3 on 16th October 2020. The Covid-19 pandemic affected the filming and production of the fourth season and more time was spent on writing when the pandemic started in 2020. Filming started in November 2020 at Toronto, Canada with all safety measures and production is set to end in June 2021 and the fourth season will premiere sometime in 2021.

The lead cast of Star Trek; Discovery Season 4 includes Sonequa Martin-Green as Michael Burnham, Doug Jones as Saru, Anthony Rapp as Paul Stamets, Mary Wiseman as Sylvia Tilly, Wilson Cruz as Hugh Culber, David Ajala as Cleveland “Book” Booker, Blu del Barrio as Adira Tal, Ian Alexander as Gray Tal. The fourth season will also see guest appearances of David Cronenberg as Kovich and Oded Fehr as Charles Vance.
