Star Trek: Prodigy Plot and Cast
Since Season 1 is still ongoing, there’s no way to know where the sophomore season of “Star Trek: Prodigy” intends to take things. Provided that the show doesn’t plan to deviate from its premise too much, it’s probably safe to say that the U.S.S. Protostar will continue its turbulent journey from the remote Delta Quadrant to Alpha Quadrant.
Since the majority of the most famous “Star Trek” civilizations hang around in the Alpha and Beta quadrants, it’s likely that the motley crew of main characters will run into more and more familiar faces as their journey progresses — think humans, Romulans, Klingons, and the like.
Due to the show’s concept of starting where no man has gone before and boldly working the way back, you can probably expect the characters to bump into plenty of classic “Star Trek” civilizations as their journey progresses.
Talking about the cast, includes Brett Gray back as Dal, Ella Purnell back as Gwyn, Angus Imrie as Zero, Rylee Alazraqui as Rok-Tahk, Jason Mantzoukas as Jankom Pog, and Dee Bradley Baker as Murf. Plus, the fantastic Kate Mulgrew should be back as Janeway.
Star Trek: Prodigy Season 2 Release Date
Considering that the Season 1 midseason finale aired on November 18, 2021, and the other half of the ten-episode season started airing on January 6, 2022. Season 2 was not released in 2022, this means it should be aired sometime in 2023.
The makers have officially confirmed that the new season will have 20 episodes. It is produced by CBS Eye Animation Productions and Nickelodeon Animation Studio in association with Secret Hideout, Roddenberry Entertainment, and Brothers Hageman Productions.
