Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3: Release Date, Trailer, and more!

Created by Akiva Goldsman, Alex Kurtzman, and Jenny Lumet, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is an American television series. A spin-off from Star Trek: Discovery, it follows Captain Christopher Pike and the crew of the starship USS Enterprise as they explore new worlds throughout the galaxy during the decade before Star Trek: The Original Series.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds premiered on Paramount+ on May 5, 2022, and its first 10-episode season is running through July 7. The second season was released on June 15, 2023. It has received positive reviews from critics for its episodic storytelling approach and cast and has been renewed for a third season.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 Plot

The developers have not revealed much about the plot of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 since the second season is yet to come out. However, it will continue from where Season 2 will end.

The basic premise follows Captain Christopher Pike and the crew of the starship USS Enterprise in the 23rd century as they explore new worlds throughout the galaxy in the decade before Star Trek: The Original Series. It has a contemporary take on that series’ episodic storytelling and 1960s designs and features the following narration from Mount during each episode’s opening credits.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 Release Date and Cast

On July 1st, 2022, director and producer Chris Fisher was the first to announce that production had been completed.  The developers have announced that the second season will come out on June 15, 2023. On March 28, 2023, Paramount+ announced the third season.

However, there is no specific release date available for the third season so far. We can predict that the upcoming season will also consist of six episodes like the previous season. Further details about Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 are expected to be revealed soon.

The lead cast members of Season 1 are expected to reprise their roles. The main cast includes Anson Mount, Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, Babs Olusanmokun, Bruce Horak, and Rebecca Romijn.
